Beau Chien was founded from a lifelong passion and a simple certainty — I just knew I needed to work with dogs in some way.

Fifteen years ago, I took my first step by completing a professional grooming course. After gaining experience in several different salons, I realised something was missing. I dreamed of creating a space that offered something extra special — a calm, caring environment where dogs were treated with kindness, patience and genuine love.

That dream became a reality when my mother and I opened the doors to Beau Chien. Together, we built a beautiful business with one clear focus: to care deeply about every single dog who walked through our door. From the very beginning, we believed in building special bonds — not only with the dogs we groom, but with their owners too.

Over the years, Beau Chien has grown into something truly special. The trust our clients place in us, and the care and kindness we show each dog, speak for themselves. Every groom is done with compassion, understanding and respect, just as it always has been.

Several years later, when my mum retired, the next chapter of Beau Chien began. My daughter Maddi joined me, sharing the same love and dedication for dogs that started it all. She completed her grooming course and now works alongside me, caring for your beautiful dogs as if they were her own.

I feel incredibly privileged to work beside her every day, knowing she feels exactly the same way about your dogs as I do – with love, patience and genuine care at the heart of everything we do.

We work at each dog’s pace, never rushing or forcing. We groom in a calm, quiet environment, avoiding unnecessary restraints and never using muzzles unless we feel the dogs or our safety was at risk. We believe dogs feel more relaxed when they are free to sit, turn and move naturally — and we respect that.

A Stress-Free Experience

I am a member of the HGA (Holistic Grooming Academy), and at Beau Chien we proudly practise holistic grooming methods with every dog in our care. This approach focuses on understanding the dog as a whole — their emotions, comfort levels and individual needs — allowing us to create a calm, fear-free and stress-free grooming environment.

We groom gently and patiently, always working at the dog’s own pace. By using calm handling, reassurance and minimal restraint, we help dogs feel safe, relaxed and in control throughout their groom. This holistic approach allows each grooming session to be a positive, comfortable experience, built on trust, kindness and respect.
